breeder from the USA has ASKED me some
questions about the breeding developed by Maurice Carver and the parallelism
that currently exists in relation to mine, specifically in relation to the construction that I developed when creating "BLACK
TRUENO" so that, not
long after, it became one
of the best Reproducers of
the breed in recent times
in Mexico, using for its creation
the Floyd Boudreaux and Ramiro Morales dogs,
which, in turn, came from the dogs
bred by Maurice Carver from the crosses he made with "BULLYSON" as we can see by observing
the ancestor genealogy in
the “BLACK TRUENO” FIAPBT Pedigree

Dear friend, in my opinion, Carver built the best kennel in the world based on his
experience, intelligence, effort and wisdom of the breed in general terms, he was a complete dogmen in every sense, this
is nothing new. As I already told you
in my previous email, in my experience for
almost 40 years breeding these dogs, I have clearly
and manifestly perceived that the more % the puppies of a litter have of the genetics from Carver's
dogs, those When puppies reach
adulthood, they are above the breed average by far,
they are much better in all the important aspects to take into account.
It is not
difficult to understand that the improvement in the genetics of dogs selected in this way is due
to the work that Master
Maurice has already done on
his dogs. It took him
his entire life to do his homework to leave the hobby and
the breed itself its legacy
Regarding your concern about the breeding methods and my construction of “BLACK TRUENO”, among
many other good stud dogs
like him, I would like to tell
you that during the 39 years working to reproduce based on the best genetics
or bloods of the breed, not only
with that of Carver, no, that work of breeding
for so long has provided me with a lot of information, which is aimed
at what I mentioned before, that effectively,
that the more % of the genetics
or blood of the Carver dogs run through the veins of your dogs,
the safer and better you are in all the important aspects to take into account
to create or generate your own
good dogs, this is something
quite simple to understand my
friend, at least from the perspective that I observe it.
Some fans of the breed, for various reasons
do not tell the truth about some
matters regarding the
Maurice Carver life, some out of ignorance, others for various
hidden interests and others to discredit the good work of others,
thinking that by lying in nowadays
about the Maurice Carver life,
they will benefit in various aspects with the breed, lies such as; Claiming that Maurice Carver started with the Pit Bull in 1946, when in reality, Maurice was born among
the Pit Bulls that his family already
had in 1916 and
as we can see in the photograph of this publication, where Maurice Carver
with only 11 years of age, already
handled one of his Pit Bulls in 1927;

Or, after
Maurice Carver died, claim that he falsified the pedigrees of his dogs, since someone
with malicious intentions, in order to spread
the rumor among fans that Carver
falsified some of his dogs' pedigrees,
deliberately misinterpreted
Carver's own words when he said;
"I'LL SELL YOU THE STEW, BUT NOT
THE RECIPE", alluding to when
he was selling a good specimen bred
by him, but
he was not going to reveal what he had based
on to get it. Carver's Stew
in reality, was always well exposed
with the truth i in the pedigrees of his dogs. What Carver meant with those
words, deliberately misinterpreted by someone, is that,
when he made the decision to breed, he did not tell
anyone his way of valuing a male (XY) and a female (XX) to choose them as the Reproducers for his next litter,
unless it was from his
closed circle of trust.
Maurice Carver, "The Silver Fox", was no ordinary breeder, he was passionate and honest about the breed, but especially honest with himself,
he had his own style of doing
things, we're not going to discover
now anything new in this regard, but
we will debunk
some hoaxes from the ill-intentioned.

Some envious person or malicious
competitor of Carver, probably
the same scoundrel who stole all
of his dogs a few hours after
his death on november 23, 1979 in San
Antonio, Texas, except “STOMPANATO” because it
was the Pat's dog and was inside
the house, took advantage of the situation to create a hoax among
fans that Carver falsified
the pedigrees of his dogs. This was
done with the malicious intent of discrediting the honest work Carver had done throughout all his life
as a breeder. He thought that by discrediting
him in this vile way, he would
benefit from the popularity and sales of the dogs
he himself bred. That hoax spread like wildfire in the US in the early 1980s, among other reasons because there were also
some others who were also
interested in spreading it. The rest of it is well-known
history...
